The Clerk's Case Management System Project will modernize the justice system in Palm Beach County and improve ease of access to court information by the public. The new system will replace the County's existing ACS Banner Courts Case Management System. System Vision To serve as a model platform, meeting the evolving needs of the user community. Project Mission Focusing on the public’s right to access court records, the CMS Project employs industry best practices to implement and maintain a secure, reliable, accurate and cost-effective justice information system that enables the effective sharing of data between justice system partners. April 30, 2009 CMS Project Status Update:Thanks to the participation and support of Palm Beach County’s justice partners, the next phase of the CMS project is now underway. The CMS Project vendor, Aptitude Solutions, will be on site in Palm Beach County to begin the implementation phase as soon as next week. Achieving this milestone would not have been possible without the cooperation and support of the project’s leaders and stakeholders, each of whom deserve a great deal of credit for their active participation in meetings, discussions and requirements identification. Their ongoing commitment to the project’s success, since the JIS Policy Board unanimously voted to replace the case management system last July, has enabled us to move forward in a cohesive manner that will ultimately make this project a model for other government agencies. Chief Judge Kroll said yesterday, “This project has given us all a great opportunity to work together toward a common goal—implementing a system that will better serve all justice partners and the public. We are committed to continuing this partnership as the project moves forward.” In addition, Paul Miller, Executive VP of Aptitude Solutions, offered this comment on the flexibility of Aptitude Solutions’ software: “Our use of state-of-the-art image-centric technologies provides a very flexible solution that will enable us to quickly adapt to the changing needs of the courts and justice partners.” Moving forward, we are excited about continuing to work with Palm Beach County’s justice partners to complete the first phase of implementation in the summer of 2010, on time and on budget.
